Author's Note
Azrael: Dominion is near and dear to my heart. It was my first novel, titled Azriel, the Angel Chronicles. Of course, I was young, and although the novel got good reviews, a part of me wanted to make it the best novel possible.
After finishing The Well of Souls, I took a few months to tear it apart, edit it, and add scenes that tied things together. Now, I think the novel flows from start to finish.
More than that, however, I just love the story. I like the thought of a human waking up one day to discover they were an angel of God. And not just any angel, but the angel of death. And then tell the historical tale of his relationship with the Devil before the fall, when they were friends.
It's a compelling notion. It's also the first in a trilogy I'm planning, along with a tie-in novel called Noah's Ark. The book is filled with action, romance, and drama, as well as a good old-fashioned detective story and the fate of mankind. What's not to like?
